Recent Graduate, NYC
I connect people to responsive websites. As a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Science in computer science, I have worked on database, cloud, data analytics projects. While all have given me the opportunity to learn a new coding language, web design has been the most fun!
I enjoy speaking to people, figuring out their pain points and solving them. Lately, I have been intrigued with the experience the user has with applications and overall human computer interaction which has directed me to explore decision making research. On my own I read the latest trends and studies conducted to then apply to the design and development process.
A selection of my range of work
HTML/CSS - Developed multiple websites from scratch using HTML and styling it with CSS. Hosted websites using Amazon web services. Previously also using AWS for a Data Analysis project, launching multiple EC2 instances to process data at a faster rate.
Bootstrap - Learned how to use Bootstrap to replicate responsive visual components. Applied a combination of bootstrap and custom design to the lilysCafe website.
Python - Used python to clean data for a data analysis project. Was able to graph data using matplotlib.
JAVA - Practice using Java by working on a MYSQL database project, where Java served as the front-end. Used Java to parse strings, read/write onto files.
C++ - Used C++ as the front-end of a MYSQL bank database project.
Matlab - Worked on several math problems using Matlab as well as analyzed imported excel data.

Serving as the treasurer and vice president of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, I was involved in the spread of STEM awareness in underrepresented communities. Monthly visits to high schools in the Bronx were conducted to give brief summaries of STEM careers. Also, volunteering for the National Science bowl in NYC and the First Lego League tournament in the City College of New York.
